Este tipo de tejido evita que el agua pase a trav\u00e9s de las fibras del tejido, incluso bajo presiones significativas de agua. Las normas europeas, como la <b>EN 343:003<\/b>, establecen clases de requisitos para los t\u00e9rminos \u00abresistente al agua\u00bb, \u00abhidr\u00f3fugo\u00bb e \u00abimpermeable\u00bb. La norma <b>ISO 11092<\/b> es utilizada en Europa para evaluar la transpirabilidad. Estas normas son m\u00e9todos fiables de comparaci\u00f3n que permiten enfrentar diferentes tipos de membranas, ya sea del mismo fabricante o de diferentes fabricantes.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #2c3283;\">Transpirabilidad, qu\u00e9 es y c\u00f3mo se mide <\/span><\/h2>\n<p>La <b>transpirabilidad <\/b>de un tejido se refiere a su <b>capacidad para permitir el paso del vapor de agua a trav\u00e9s de \u00e9l<\/b>. El cuerpo humano genera vapor de agua que debe ser liberado para evitar la acumulaci\u00f3n de humedad dentro de la prenda. La cantidad de vapor de agua producido var\u00eda seg\u00fan la actividad f\u00edsica realizada.<\/p>\n<p>La transpirabilidad <b>se expresa en gramos por metro cuadrado en 24 horas (gr\/m2 en 24 h)<\/b>. El RET (Resistant to Evaporation Transfer) es una medida que eval\u00faa la resistencia de los tejidos a permitir el paso del vapor de agua. Cuanto menor sea el valor de RET, mejor ser\u00e1 la transpirabilidad del tejido.
